Michael Wainwright
| Michael Wainwright has spent a lifetime designing ceramics. His company was established in 1991. He has found a way to combine metal and clay.
Each piece of Michael Wainwright pottery is made of porcelain and fired in a kiln at least three times. First, the rims are cut by hand, so that no two pieces are exactly alike. Second, the wares are glazed by hand and fired to nearly 2200 degrees F., 22-karat gold or platinum is hand painted on each piece and fired in a kiln one more time, resulting in a finish that is dishwasher-safe.
