Designed by the Former Royal Factory, the Rose Garden service is a reproduction of the same decor initially executed by the Manufacture de Clignancourt in the late 18th century. The original is now in the Musée de Montmartre in Paris. It testifies to the richness of the decorations of the Parisian porcelain of late 18th century. At the end of the 18th century naturalist influences designers: twigs and seedlings cut flowers arise on objects. During the last decade of the century, in Paris, the setting becomes more sophisticated, floral motifs are enriched with geometric lines, gold and color dominate, giving wealth and happiness. This new trend is well illustrated by the Rose Garden service.
