This service typical of the 18th century was bought by Louis XV in 1757 for Fontainebleau, the greatest residence after Versailles. Created by the Manufacture Royale de Sèvres, Louis XV service was used on a daily basis. The service, on scalloped shape, is decorated with garlands of roses carmine retained by Louis XV style gilt scrolls. In the center of the pieces, a crimson and gold motif includes four royal monograms in star.
