Blue Shòu features design elements adapted from our iconic and historic Blue Canton pattern and applied to newer contemporary shapes that echoe the lines of the earlier pattern. The word Shòu (pronounced “show”) is the Chinese word for long life. The evergreen tree appears as the key design element in the dinner plate, symbolizing longevity and endurance.
The design uses classic cobalt on bright white high fire porcelain. The bread & butter plate is decorated with an all-over pattern composed of tiny handpainted circles giving a a mottled and natural effect, and a nice contrast to the motifs of the other plates in the group. It mixes well with all cobalt designs.
Blue Shòu is dishwasher safe and microwave safe. It is sure to become a new classic.
