The Rococo fashion for tureens in the form of animals, fruits and vegetables was a hallmark of the Chelsea factory, the first of the great English potteries, established in 1735 in London. Mottahedeh’s hand painted reproduction captures the whimsical nature of the original tureen. It is made of faience, a soft paste white porcelain. Also offered in a smaller six. it is perrenial.
